About the project
This toy is designed for children to play with on the beach, in parks, gardens and more. It consists of a ball with 'dice-like' options, a bat to hit the ball and rings to aim the ball at. The rings are telescopic, so they can be collapsed for storage and to carry the toy in a compact form.
The toy was designed for manufacture in a range of plastics and processes: the bat and ring parts are blow moulded in High Density Polythene, the fittings for the rings are injection moulded in Polypropylene, and the ball is made from expanded EVA foam.
SourcePro's work covered the complete product design, including the fastening features and mechanical detailing, through to a 3D printed and fabricated plastic prototype for testing.
