This product is designed for the safety of cyclists, especially where drivers of high vehicles such as buses and lorries struggle to see cyclists and people on scooters close by, at night or during the day. Collisions with large vehicles cause many fatalities and permanent disabilities. The safety pole is a visual attachment for a bicycle or scooter that brings a sign or illuminated signal up to the eye level of drivers at different heights, substantially increasing the cyclist's visibility to the vehicles all around them.

The pole is made in sections, so it can be adjusted in length, with a shorter version for small bikes, and folded for storage and transport. The pole connectors double up as light transmission along its length, and the pole can be removed from the light pod to protect it against theft or damage. The light pod has two lights for better visibility and also works as an ordinary rear light on its own, complementing the bike's existing light. Sourcepro carried out the CAD mechanical development of the pole, the light pod and its adjustable clamp.
