We designed a practical, dual-sided grooming tool for horses that combines two jobs in one product. One side features a ring-style scraper with serrated edges that lifts mud and dirt from the coat, while the other side has a grid of flexible pins that combs through the hair. A flexible joint between the head and the handle absorbs pressure as the tool moves over the horse, reducing scratching on the skin and making grooming more comfortable for both the horse and the operator.

Sourcepro developed the product from initial hand sketches and dimensioned drawings through to 3D CAD modelling and finished prototypes. The design was engineered for injection moulding in a combination of rigid and flexible plastics: ABS for the structural body and a thermoplastic elastomer for the flexible joint and grip, giving a durable, comfortable product ready for manufacture.
